Harriette Verwey

Harriette Verwey currently serves as the Rotary International Director for the term 2025-2027 and has been with Rotary International since January 2024. Additionally, Harriette is a Boardmember of the Caecilia Foundation at Rijksmuseum Boerhaave since January 2020 and holds the position of Chair of the Supervisory Board for the Ethnic Business Women in the Netherlands, a sister organization of the European Federation of Black Business Owners, since January 2019. With a long-standing affiliation with Leiden University Medical Center since May 1984, Harriette has held multiple roles, including MD PhD and Chair of the LUMC Alumni Association, and was previously an Assistant Professor in Cardiology. Harriette earned MD and PhD degrees in Medicine from Leiden University.
