Mark Peters

Mark Peters is a seasoned project management professional with extensive experience in the mining and resources sector. Currently serving as a Senior Project Manager for the Bauxite Portfolio at Rio Tinto since August 2022, Mark oversees mine infrastructure capital projects and manages both bauxite mining and alumina-related capital delivery. Prior to this role, Mark worked at Worley as a Principal Designer for non-process infrastructure on significant projects for Rio Tinto, including the Oyu Tolgoi Copper Mine and alumina refineries. Mark also held the position of Senior Designer at Jacobs specializing in mining, metals, and minerals from December 2008 to December 2019, and served as Lead Designer at Sinclair Knight Merz earlier in his career. Mark holds a Certificate IV in Project Management Practice from TAFE Queensland, an Advanced Diploma in Building Design and Technology, and a Diploma of Civil Engineering from the Southbank Institute of Technology.
