Dennis Blasutti

Dennis leads RioCan’s exceptional finance, treasury & capital markets, investor relations, and information technology functions. As CFO, he ensures that his team works as a valued partner supporting RioCan’s value creation initiatives while maintaining a robust balance sheet at all times. Dennis brings a depth of experience across various finance disciplines – at both the corporate and operations levels – including significant experience in financial management, business leadership, and corporate strategy during periods of organic growth and capital development.

Before joining RioCan in 2021, Dennis served as Managing Director at Brookfield’s Infrastructure Group and Chief Financial Officer for Enwave Energy, Brookfield’s district energy business. Prior to this, he held progressively senior roles in Brookfield Asset Management and Kinross Gold; starting his career with five years of foundational training at KPMG. Dennis earned a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Economics and Accounting from Wilfred Laurier University and is a Chartered Professional Accountant.

The Trust owns and manages Canada's portfolio of shopping centers with ownership interests in a portfolio of 230 properties with an aggregate net leasable area (NLA) of approximately 39.1 million square feet, including residential rental and 13 development properties. The Trusts property portfolio includes grocery anchored, new format retail, urban retail, mixed use and non-grocery anchored centers of which approximately 190 properties are owned, which includes approximately 186 income properties and four properties under development, and approximately 40 are co-owned through joint arrangements with co-owners including approximately nine under development.
