Greg A. Carnathan

Greg Carnathan knew that RMF was an engineering firm ripe with growth opportunity when he joined the North Carolina office’s nine-person team in 1999. Today, Greg leads the North Carolina Infrastructure Design team which includes more than 20 engineering staff with industry-leading expertise in central heating and cooling design, underground thermal utility distribution, and medium voltage power systems. He also serves on the firm’s board of directors and facilitates the internal project management training program.

Greg has a hands-on approach with his team and is actively engaged in chiller plant, boiler plant, combined heat and power, and thermal utility distribution projects. His responsibilities include planning, developing strategic engineering solutions, quality control, and managing projects. In addition, he is a regular speaker and author for organizations including the International District Energy Association (IDEA), APPA and HPAC Engineering. Greg’s passion for excellence in engineering and project management leadership has led to the addition of many loyal clients across the nation.

Greg believes growth and continued success for RMF in the Southeast is a result of strong leadership, emphasis on quality technical solutions and a laser-like focus on client service.

He is a licensed professional engineer with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Messiah College. Greg is certified by the Association of Energy Engineers as a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) and the U.S. Green Building Council as a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP).
