Uttam Kumar Singh

Uttam Kumar Singh is an experienced professional with over 23 years in climate change modeling, agro-meteorological modeling, and risk assessment related to drought and flood vulnerabilities. Since January 2007, Uttam has served as General Manager at RMSI, where expertise includes remote sensing and weather-based crop yield forecasting. Prior to that, Uttam worked as a Project Scientist at the International Rice Research Institute, focusing on the simulation of DNDC and DSSAT models, and as a Post-Doctoral Fellow at China Agricultural University, analyzing water balance and groundwater contamination in agricultural settings. Academic credentials include a Post Doctorate in Utilization Science of Agricultural Resources from China Agricultural University, a Ph.D. in Agricultural Chemistry & Soil Science from Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya, and two Master's degrees in the same field from Ballygunge Science College - University of Calcutta.
