Nick Theakstone

Nick Theakstone is a seasoned media executive with extensive experience in leadership positions at GroupM from January 2002 to December 2017, including roles as Global Chief Investment Officer, Chief Executive Officer, and Chief Operating Officer. As Global Chief Investment Officer, Nick oversaw media investments and partnerships, contributing significantly to GroupM's growth within WPP. In the role of Chief Executive Officer, Nick led GroupM's expansion into a multibillion-pound business, managing a workforce of 3,000 and focusing on innovative media solutions. Prior to GroupM, Nick held positions as Head of Investment at Mindshare and HTV, and began a career as a CV Sales Executive. Nick's academic background includes a Bachelor's Degree in Business Studies from Oxford Brookes University, complemented by early education at Ardingly College.
