Cheryl Wadasinghe

Cheryl Wadasinghe has extensive experience in operational and strategic roles within various Canadian governmental departments. Currently serving as the Director of Operations for the National Forensic Laboratory Services at the Royal Canadian Mounted Police since September 2016, Cheryl has previously held positions as Strategic Advisor to the Office of the Deputy Commissioner and Director of Firearms Regulatory Services. Cheryl’s career includes significant roles at Infrastructure Canada, managing project reviews for major infrastructure funding, and leadership positions at Public Safety Canada and the Treasury Board Secretariat, focusing on strategic policy and privacy guidance. Cheryl’s academic credentials include a pending Master's in Adult Education with a focus on Women in Leadership from St. Francis Xavier University, an Executive Leadership Development Program from the Canada School of Public Service, a Master's in Development Studies from the London School of Economics, and an Honours Bachelor's in Economics from St. Francis Xavier University. Additionally, Cheryl attained a certificate in French language from the Centre internationale d’etudes francaises.
