Ranpal Gill, PMP®, has extensive experience in program operations, communications, project engineering, client services, and business management across various industries including observatories, space agencies, and IT firms. As head of program operations at Rubin Observatory, responsibilities include budgeting, scheduling, reporting, event planning, and administration management. Previous roles at European Space Agency and John Ryan International involved project management, quality assurance, and client service delivery. Ranpal holds an MBA from University of Warwick and a B.Sc. in Computer Science from University of Hertfordshire.

Rubin Observatory
Rubin Observatory will produce the Legacy Survey of Space and Time (LSST) beginning in 2025. The survey will image the entire visible sky in multiple colors with its 3200 megapixel digital camera (LSST Camera), probing the mysteries of Dark Matter and Dark Energy, and opening a movie-like window on objects that change or move rapidly: exploding supernovae, potentially hazardous near-Earth asteroids, and distant Kuiper Belt Objects.
