Dan Rankin

Dan Rankin is a seasoned IT professional with extensive experience in network design and architecture. Currently serving as a Senior Network Solution Architect at Rust-Oleum Corporation since February 2021, Dan is responsible for the global network's architecture, including WAN, LAN, WLAN, datacenter, and cybersecurity solutions. Prior to this role, Dan worked at Abbott from August 2006 to January 2021 as an Infrastructure Architect, where significant contributions included the migration to Cisco ACI SDN and the design of a global wireless solution. Dan's expertise also encompasses support and troubleshooting at tier 4 levels and the creation of automation applications. Early career roles include network engineering at Southern Illinois University and a brief stint as a PC Technician at Jiffy Lube International, showcasing a strong foundational background in both hardware and software networking. Dan holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Information Technology from Southern Illinois University and an Associate of Arts and Sciences in Computer and Information Sciences from Harper College.
