Mario Cappellano has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Mario currently holds the position of Site Reliability Engineering Manager at Racing and Wagering Western Australia since July 2021.
Prior to their current role, Mario was the Owner/Operator of TheWoodFather.com, a woodworking-themed YouTube channel and website that they launched in September 2013.
Before that, they worked at BetEasy, where they held several roles. Mario started as a Sports & Racing Trader from April 2014 to June 2015. Mario then transitioned to the role of Application Support Engineer from June 2015 to September 2018. Afterwards, they were promoted to the position of Team Lead - Application Support, which they held for three months from June 2018 to September 2018. Finally, they served as the IT Support Manager at BetEasy from September 2018 to July 2021.
Prior to their time at BetEasy, Mario worked as a Sports & Racing Trader at Tom Waterhouse from November 2011 to February 2014.
Mario Cappellano has a Diploma in I.T. from Victorian University. Mario also attended St Josephs College, North Melbourne, but no specific degree or field of study is provided. In terms of additional certifications, Mario obtained various certifications from Udemy, including Microsoft Excel - Data Visualization, Excel Charts & Graphs, Build Responsive Real World Websites with HTML5 and CSS3, AJAX using Javascript and JQuery, Login and Registration from Scratch with PHP and MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Vim Masterclass, and How To Remember Everything With Tom Weber. Mario also obtained certifications in R Programming and Programming Mobile Applications for Android Handheld Systems from Coursera. Mario recently obtained certifications in Sumo Logic Fundamentals and Sumo Logic Search Mastery from Sumo Logic.

Racing and Wagering Western Australia (RWWA) is a dynamic, versatile and commercial organisation that operates in meeting and furthering the needs of the racing and wagering industry in Western Australia. Our purpose is to ensure the long-term sustainability of the WA racing industry and we achieve this goal through being the controlling authority for the three racing codes of thoroughbred, harness and greyhound racing in Western Australia as well as incorporating wagering through the TAB. We are unique to other racing and wagering jurisdiction across Australia which provides various opportunities and benefits for our customers, the racing industry, employees and stakeholders.
