Jonathan Walker

Jonathan Walker is an accomplished Associate Professor of Art & Design and Director of the Art & Design Gallery at Sacred Heart University since September 2002. With a strong focus on the fundamentals of Graphic Design and Visual Arts, Jonathan aims to inspire students to realize their potential for effecting change through their work. Prior to this role, Jonathan operated Jon Walker Design from 2000 to 2008, providing expertise in print and web design, as well as hosting services for a diverse clientele. Jonathan's extensive experience in design includes serving as Design Director for the award-winning SOCCER JR. magazine at Scholastic Inc. and as Art Director for Philip Morris International. Academic contributions include positions at the University of Florida, Keene State College, and Auburn University, focusing on various design disciplines and serving as Design Coordinator. Jonathan holds an MFA in Stage Design from the University of Connecticut and a BA in Graphic Design from Southern Connecticut State University.
