Alok Kumar possesses a diverse background in mechanical engineering with hands-on experience in various roles. Currently serving as a member at SAEINDIA since August 2017, Alok has also undertaken trainee positions at Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited and Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited, focusing on steam turbine manufacturing and electro-mechanical services, respectively. As a design intern at Elite Techno Group, skills in go-cart design were developed, along with training in fabricating off-road vehicles. Alok was also a team member in Team Risers during the Rally Car Design Challenge in early 2018. Alok holds a Bachelor's degree from the National Institute of Technology Srinagar, awarded in 2021, and completed secondary education at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Saharanpur.

SAEINDIA is one of the few professional engineering societies whose membership represents practically every engineering and scientific discipline. Its members combine their specialized abilities to further advance the research, development, design, manufacture, and utilization of vehicles operating on land, water, air & space. Itis an affiliate society of SAE International, registered as an Indian non-profit engineering and scientific society dedicated to the advancement of mobility community in India.[1] As an individual member-driven society of mobility practitioners, SAEINDIA comprises members who are Individuals from the mobility community, which includes Engineers, Executives from Industry, Government Officials, Academics, and Students. Principal emphasis is placed on transport industries such as automotive, aerospace, and commercial vehicles.
