David Curtis has held several high-level positions in the field of information technology. David started their career as a Project Leader at Citicorp and later worked as a Manager of Financial Applications at Lifetime Television for Women. David then transitioned to a role as a Technical Project Manager at Software Associates International. Following this, they served as the Director of Financial Applications at Urban Brands, Inc. After that, they worked as the Director of Information Systems at Ted's Montana Grill and as the Director of IT, Americas at The Tensar Corporation. Later on, they took on the role of Senior Director of Retail Technology at Focus Brands, where they provided executive oversight for brands such as Carvel, Cinnabon, and Moe's. Their most recent position was as the Vice President of Information Technology at Safeguard Self Storage, where they supervised all IT activities for the organization.

David Curtis obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems from King's College between 1987 and 1989. David went on to pursue higher education at the University of Phoenix, earning their MBA degree in Technology Management, from 2003 to 2005.
