Jack Speer is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in broadcasting and education. Currently serving as an Adjunct Instructor at The Johns Hopkins University - Carey Business School since May 2014, Jack teaches Business Communications and Ethics to graduate students, focusing on crisis communications, presentations, and case discussions. Jack is also a National Board Member for SAG-AFTRA and the SAG-AFTRA Foundation, contributing to various charitable initiatives for members and the broader community. With a career at NPR spanning from October 1997 to July 2025, Jack has anchored newscasts and reported on business segments for programs like "All Things Considered" and "Morning Edition." Jack is a former strategic advisory board member at Neocova and has previous experience at WTOP News-WUSA TV-Channel 9, where Jack anchored business reports. Jack holds a Master’s degree in Journalism from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communications from PennWest Edinboro.
