Megan Doerr

Megan Doerr, LGC, serves as Director and previously as Associate Director at Sage Bionetworks since July 2015, where leadership focuses on applied ethical, legal, and social implications (ELSI) research in the context of research governance. As Principal Scientist, contributions include advancing health research initiatives and sharing resources globally. Prior experience includes a role as Genetic Specialist at Cleveland Clinic from October 2009 to June 2015, leading clinical development and the implementation of family history collection and decision support tools. Earlier positions encompass Laboratory Genetic Counselor at University Hospitals of Cleveland, and various teaching roles in science at institutions such as Lake Ridge Academy, American Community School, and Lexington Public Schools. The educational background includes a Master of Science in Genetic Counseling from Case Western Reserve University and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Vermont, complemented by additional studies at Harvard Graduate School of Education.
