Currently serving as the VP of AI Research & Applied AI at Salesforce, Caiming Xiong has built a practical pipeline that integrates AI research and product teams while contributing to the company's long-term AI strategy. Previous roles include Senior Director of AI Research, where leadership was provided to teams focusing on various AI domains such as NLP and computer vision, and Director of AI Research, specifically targeting conversational AI and speech recognition solutions. Caiming Xiong's career also includes significant contributions at MetaMind, specializing in deep learning and computer vision, as well as postdoctoral research at the University of California, Los Angeles, in video action recognition and human-robot interaction. Educational credentials include a PhD in Computer Science and Engineering from the State University of New York at Buffalo and a B.S. and M.S. in Computer Science from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in China.
