Lisa van Riette

Lisa Van Riette is an experienced Special Education Teacher currently working at San Diego Unified School District since July 2023. Prior to this position, Lisa served as a Special Education Teacher at San Marcos Unified School District from February 2022 to July 2023, and at the Speech and Language Development Center from October 2020 to February 2022. Lisa also has a background in music and dance education, having taught at a Montessori school from September 2002 to 2019. Lisa's early career includes experience as a paraprofessional at the California School for the Deaf-Riverside and Saint Mary's Academy in Inglewood, California. Lisa holds a Master of Education in Special Education and Teaching from National University and another Master of Education from the University of La Verne, complemented by a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from Brigham Young University.
