Matthew Reno

Matthew Reno is a distinguished expert in photovoltaics and grid integration, currently serving as a Distinguished Member of Technical Staff at Sandia National Laboratories since May 2007. With extensive experience in simulating the impacts of photovoltaics on distribution systems, analyzing advanced inverter functionalities, and developing solar power forecasting methods, Matthew has contributed significantly to the field. Prior to this role, Matthew worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Georgia Institute of Technology, focusing on solar energy integration and microgrid research, while also providing technical writing consultation. Matthew holds a Ph.D. and a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Engineering Physics from Taylor University.
