Pasi Ruotsalainen

Pasi Ruotsalainen is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in the design of drilling rigs and support systems. Currently serving as Chief Design Engineer at Sandvik since October 2016, Pasi specializes in the design of rock support drill rigs. Previous roles include Senior Design Engineer and Special Design Engineer at Comatec Oy, where Pasi focused on surface and underground drilling rigs, as well as various product development tasks. Pasi's academic background includes a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Mechatronics from the University of Oulu. Research endeavors at the University of Oulu involved projects on cab suspension systems and morphing structures, contributing valuable insights to the field.
