Rafael Macedo David has a diverse work experience in the banking industry. Rafael Macedo started their career as an intern at BNDES (Banco Nacional de Desenvolvimento Econômico e Social) in 1996. Rafael Macedo then worked as a Financial Analyst at Banco Prosper from 1997 to 1999. In 2001, they joined Banco Santander Brazil where they held various positions including General Manager and Executive Manager, focusing on personal loans, overdrafts, and loans related to the payroll. Rafael Macedo also managed commercial campaigns in electronic channels. Rafael Macedo moved to the Santander Cards Global Division in 2009, where they served as the Portfolio Management Global Director until 2012. Since 2012, they have been working at Santander Bank, N.A. in different roles. Currently, they are the Head of Credit Cards, responsible for the credit card product and portfolio management.

Rafael Macedo David has a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro, which they obtained from 1992 to 1997. Rafael Macedo went on to pursue a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A) in Finance and Capital Markets at Ibmec, completing it from 1999 to 2001. Rafael then pursued a Post-Grad degree in Leadership and Banking at Fundação Dom Cabral from 2004 to 2005. Finally, in 2011, they attended IE Business School to complete a Post Grad degree in Organizational Leadership.
