Ir. Hang Kiak Tan

Ir. Hang Kiak Tan is the General Manager at Sarawak Energy Berhad since May 2011, overseeing the construction of the Baleh Hydroelectric Project in accordance with technical requirements and the International Hydropower Association's Sustainability Assessment Protocol. Tan has a diverse range of management experience, including directing the Transmission Substation Projects Portfolio, leading engineering management for transmission substations and lines, and establishing engineering teams to coordinate substation design and improve internal processes. Prior to joining Sarawak Energy Berhad, Tan served as the Transmission Line Manager for a 500kV project and as the Instrumentation & Control Team Leader at WorleyParsons. Tan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Mississippi State University, attained between 1996 and 1998.
