Filipa de Castro

Filipa de Castro currently serves as a Senior Consultant for ECCD Research and Evidence at Save the Children US and as an International Scholar at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine. Filipa has extensive experience with UNICEF, where the role as a Consultant for Mental Health Measurement follows a previous position as a Statistics and Monitoring Specialist in Child Protection and Development. Prior roles include Senior Advisor for Early Childhood Research at Save the Children US and Director of Reproductive Health and Early Childhood Development at Instituto Nacional de Salud Pública. Filipa has also held consulting positions with The World Bank and the Inter-American Development Bank. Academic credentials include a postdoctoral fellowship from Yale University, a PhD from the University of Essex, and a degree in Clinical Psychology from Ispa - Instituto Universitário.
