Mathias Langkjær is a Biological Information Specialist at Saxocon A/S since January 2022, contributing to safety assessments of chemical compounds across various industries including pharmaceuticals and cosmetics. Prior to this, Mathias served as a schoolteacher at Sankt Helene Skole from September 2017 to February 2020, teaching Math and Biology to students aged 13-15 and managing a class of around 50. Earlier experience includes a role as a Research Assistant at UCPH - Functional Genomics, where responsibilities involved investigating CRISPR systems through electroporation. Mathias holds a Master of Science degree in Biochemistry from the University of Copenhagen, completed in April 2021, and a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry obtained in July 2014 from the same institution.

SAXOCON uses computer-based toxicological methods that make it possible to assess the safety of organic compounds without the use of animal testing. SAXOCON is a private company partly owned by Technical University of Denmark (DTU).
