Maria Polyakova

Maria Polyakova is an experienced data engineering manager currently working at Scale AI since August 2021, following a role as a data engineering lead. Prior to this, Maria served as a security engineer and data scientist at Snowflake from November 2018 to June 2021, where responsibilities included designing statistical models for anomaly detection and improving security data management. Maria's earlier experience includes a position as a security engineer at Box, developing active monitoring systems and analyzing abusive activity patterns, as well as a role as a security consultant/analyst analyzing cryptographic documents for compliance. Maria also gained valuable experience through internships at The Medici Archive Project Inc. and AppFolio Inc. Maria holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from UC Santa Barbara, completed in 2015.
