As a Technical Writer, you will play a key role in empowering MSPs by creating clear, concise, and user-focused documentation that unlocks the full potential of our products. By simplifying complex concepts and delivering educational resources that drive meaningful results, you’ll help MSPs deliver unparalleled value to their clients. Responsibilities.

• Collaborate with product teams, subject matter experts, and stakeholders to gather information, understand product features, and ensure technical documentation aligns with ScalePad’s business goals and customer needs.
• Create and maintain product documentation via knowledge base articles, user guides, and other technical resources that effectively communicate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
• Utilize content management and authoring tools to create, manage, and organize documentation for customer self-service and support.
• Design and refine visuals, such as annotated screenshots and diagrams, to complement and enhance technical content.
• Ensure documentation is structured and organized to facilitate content reuse, scalability, and consistent formatting.
• Establish content governance by developing and maintaining standards, templates, and style guides to ensure consistency and clarity across all documentation.
• Proactively update technical content to align with product updates, new features, and industry standards.
• Explore and adopt emerging trends, tools, and best practices in technical writing and documentation to continually enhance the quality and effectiveness of ScalePad’s content.

Qualifications.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in technical writing, documentation development, or customer education, with preference for a background in technology or SaaS environments.

• Exceptional writing and communication skills, with an ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear, concise, and engaging manner.

• Experience using documentation and help center tools such as Zendesk, Confluence, or similar content management and authoring platforms to create knowledge base articles and technical content.

• Proven project management and organizational abilities, with a track record of meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Understanding of information architecture, with the ability to organize and structure content for optimal navigation and usability.

• Ability to gather input from subject matter experts and stakeholders to ensure documentation meets audience needs and is technically accurate.

• Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to build relationships and work effectively with teams across departments.

• Familiarity with structured writing methodologies for creating modular, reusable, and scalable content.

• Ability to create and refine visuals such as screenshots and animated GIFs, to complement technical content, using tools such as Snagit or similar platforms.

• Understanding of accessibility standards and best practices for creating inclusive technical documentation to ensure an equitable learning experience.
