Sciensano
Bart Desmedt is a scientist at Sciensano, contributing to the service of medicines and health products since September 2016. Prior experience includes serving as a toxicologist at BIORIUS Sprl, where the focus was on the safety assessment of non-food consumer products. Bart also worked as a doctoral researcher at The Scientific Institute of Public Health, developing analytical techniques for bleaching agents. Research training in toxicology was completed at Beiersdorf, emphasizing in vitro dermal absorption of cosmetics. Earlier roles included customer service at Decathlon Belgium. Bart Desmedt holds a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences, a Master's in Management, and additional Master's and Bachelor's degrees from Vrije Universiteit Brussel.
