Francesco Belloni is an experienced professional in the field of nuclear safety, currently serving as the Head of Unit for Safety, Environment and Health at SCK CEN since April 2011, where responsibilities include overseeing the MYRRHA phase 1 project and the 100 MeV Accelerator and Proton Target Facility. Previously held roles at SCK CEN include Nuclear Safety Engineer, focusing on safety analyses for the MYRRHA reactor, and Scientific Collaborator, contributing to severe accident studies and safety analysis for the MYRRHA project. Francesco Belloni earned a Ph.D. in Nuclear Power Plants with a focus on Thermal-Hydraulics from Sapienza Università di Roma, where a fellowship was awarded for research on heat exchange models in the RELAP5 code. Additional experience includes serving as an online tutor for nuclear power-related courses at Università Telematica Guglielmo Marconi from March 2009 to November 2010.
