Douglas S. has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Douglas began their career at Motorola Semiconductor as a Materials Controller and worked there for four years. In 1998, they joined PricewaterhouseCoopers as a Principal Consultant. After that, they worked at S&N UK, where they held positions such as Project Manager, Applications Architect, and Head of Applications. In 2008, they joined The HEINEKEN Company as a Business Solutions Manager and later became a Programme Director & Business Engagement Manager. Douglas S. then moved to ScottishPower, where they served as Business Systems Director - Retail before taking on the role of Digital, Innovation & Transformation Director. Currently, they hold the position of IT Director / CIO at ScottishPower, leading the creation of a new Digital Hub within UKIT.
Douglas S. completed the Cranfield IT Leadership Programme at Cranfield School of Management in 2010. Prior to that, they obtained a BA in Economics & Marketing from the University of the West of Scotland, studying from 1990 to 1994.
