Rachel Parker (MCIPD) has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in HR. Rachel'smost recent position was as Head of HR Central Services at the Scottish Prison Service, where they were responsible for reward, employment relations, and HR policy. Prior to this, Rachel worked as an Employment Relations & Reward Partner and Manager at the same organization. Rachel also held the role of HR Business Partner at the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland, where they provided HR solutions and resolved complex people issues. Rachel's experience also includes working as an HR Partner at Edinburgh Napier University and as an HR Business Partner, HR Consultant, and HR Officer at Audit Scotland. Rachel began their career as an HR Support Consultant at Lloyds TSB and gained experience as an HR/Training Assistant during an industrial placement at Enterprise Plc.

Rachel Parker (MCIPD) completed the HR Business Partner Development Programme at CIPD in 2015. Prior to that, they obtained a BA (Hons) degree in Human Resources Management from the University of Central Lancashire, which they attended from 2002 to 2006.

In addition to their formal education, Rachel has obtained additional certifications. In April 2022, they completed the AgilePM® Foundation and AgilePM® Practitioner courses from APMG International.
