Neil Douglas

Neil Douglas is an experienced professional in the renewable energy sector, currently serving as a Director at Scottish Renewables since March 2024, where Neil is a board member for the industry body for renewable energy in Scotland. Since March 2017, Neil has also held the position of Director at BVG Associates, specializing in strategy consulting within renewable energy. Prior to these roles, Neil was the Director of LCOE at Natural Power from March 2016 to February 2017, focusing on cost reduction across client projects, and also served as Director of Asset Management. Neil's extensive experience includes non-executive directorship at ZX Lidars and various significant roles at Natural Power over nearly two decades, including Director of Due Diligence and Wind Technical Director. Neil began their career in wind energy research at the University of Abertay Dundee, following a Master’s degree in Energy Systems and The Environment from the University of Strathclyde and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Aided Engineering from Glasgow Caledonian University.
