Bianca Garcia-Gonzalez is currently a Graduate Student at Scripps Research, pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Neuroscience since August 2021. Prior to this, Bianca gained research experience at St. Edward's University, serving as a Research Assistant under the supervision of Dr. Andrea Holgado and also working as an Undergraduate Student Researcher in both the Department of Biological Sciences and the Department of Psychology and Behavioral Neuroscience. Additional experience includes the role of Intermediate Office Assistant in the University Advancement office at St. Edward's University and serving as Lead Student Researcher for the Ronald E. McNair Scholars Program, focusing on the protein UNC-33 and its relation to schizophrenia. Bianca holds a Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Neuroscience from St. Edward's University and an International Baccalaureate Diploma from Lamar Academy.
