Takanori Otomo

Takanori Otomo is an accomplished researcher in the field of biomedical science, currently serving as an Associate Professor at the San Diego Biomedical Research Institute since January 2022. Takanori has held various academic positions at Scripps Research since October 2007, including roles as Adjunct Associate Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor. Prior experience includes a postdoctoral researcher role at UT Southwestern Medical Center from December 2001 to September 2007, as well as a brief postdoctoral position at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in 2001. Takanori Otomo obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Bioscience from The University of Osaka in 2001, following a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Chemistry from the same institution, completed in 1996.
