Nancy Connally Johnson has a strong legal background with a focus on telecommunications and higher education. Nancy started their legal career as an Assistant Attorney General at the Oklahoma Attorney General's Office in June 2001, where they served until March 2005. From March 2005 to August 2006, Nancy worked as an Assistant General Counsel at the Commissioners of the Land Office. Nancy then moved on to the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education, initially serving as an Assistant General Counsel from August 2006 to March 2008. Nancy was later promoted to Associate Vice Chancellor for Operations and Legal Affairs, a position they held from April 2008 to May 2010. Nancy then served as Interim Vice Chancellor for IT, Telecommunications, and OneNet from May 2010 to June 2011. Following this, they joined the Commissioners of the Land Office again as their General Counsel from July 2011 to July 2012. Nancy then transitioned to the University of Oklahoma, where they held the position of Director of International Logistics and Risk Management and Staff Attorney from July 2012 to March 2015. Nancy is currently the Vice President Legal/In-House Counsel at SDN Communications, a role they have held since April 2015.
Nancy Connally Johnson earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from East Central University from 1993 to 1996. Later, they pursued further education at the University of Oklahoma College of Law, where they obtained a Juris Doctor degree from 1996 to 1999.
