Denice Koo has a long history of professional experience in the health and education sectors. Denice began their career in 2008 as a Project Manager at Ryerson University's Centre for Online Nutrition Communication. In 2010, they became a Research Associate at Cancer Care Ontario. Denice then worked as a Patient Education Specialist at St. Michael's Hospital (2011), University Health Network (2012), and Princess Margaret Cancer Centre (2013). In 2014, they founded Health Education Design, and in 2015 they began working at SeamlessMD, first as Director of Patient Education and later as Vice President of Patient Education. In 2019, they became the Business Owner of The Good Boy Bakery (www.thegoodboybakery.ca, @thegoodboybakery).
Denice Koo has a Master of Health Science from Ryerson University in Nutrition Communication, obtained in 2010. Denice also has a Bachelor of Applied Science from Ryerson University in Nutrition & Food, obtained in 2009. In addition, they have two certifications: Health Literacy Leadership from Tufts University School of Medicine, obtained in June 2019, and Master Trainer - Chronic Disease Self-Management Program from Stanford University, obtained in February 2013.
