Rafe Pilling

Rafe Pilling serves as the Director of Threat Intelligence for the Counter Threat Unit (CTU) at Secureworks, a position held since January 2008. In this role, Rafe leads the global threat intelligence production, focusing on all-source intelligence analysis to provide insights on cyber threats from various actors. Previous roles within Secureworks include Principal Researcher and Senior Security Researcher, emphasizing expertise in threat group tracking, incident response, and malware analysis. Rafe's career began as a Security Analyst at DNS and earlier as a self-employed web development and InfoSec consultant. Educational qualifications include a PgDip with Distinction in Advanced Networking and Web Technologies from Edinburgh Napier University and a BSc (Hons) in Computer Science and Management Science from The University of Edinburgh.
