Bernard Fung

Bernard Fung has extensive work experience in the financial industry. Bernard started their career at Deutsche Bank in 1997, where they held the role of Whatever until 2000. After that, they joined Standard Chartered Bank as a Director, where they remained until 2008. At Standard Chartered Bank, Bernard held various responsibilities. In 2008, they joined the Securities and Futures Commission as a Director. In this role, they were in charge of structured products, MPFs/PRFs, some ETFs, and retail funds. Bernard also worked on policy matters, including the BCBS-IOSCO Working Group on Margin Requirement. Additionally, Bernard was involved in designing and implementing the Structured Product Code and Internal Product Approval Process.

Bernard Fung completed their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Travel Industry Management at the University of Hawaii at Manoa from 1980 to 1983. Bernard further pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Finance at the Michigan State University - Eli Broad College of Business from 1984 to 1985.
