Peter Haynes

Peter Haynes is an accomplished writer and advisor with extensive experience in journalism, technology, and economic consulting. Haynes has contributed to The Economist since 2014, focusing on science, technology, and business, after previously serving as New York Bureau Chief and US Business Editor from 1985 to 1997. Additionally, Haynes is an early-stage advisor and investor at SeekOut, a member of the Technical Board of Advisors for Votem, and co-founder of Polyverse Corporation, which specializes in cybersecurity tools. Previous roles include Senior Fellow at the Atlantic Council and Senior Director at Microsoft, where collaboration with Bill Gates on strategic initiatives occurred. Haynes co-founded Oxera, a leading economic consultancy in Europe, and holds a degree from the University of Oxford.
