Brent Parris, SHRM-SCP, SPHR, has a diverse range of work experience spanning over 25 years. Brent currently serves as the Vice President & Chief Human Resources Officer at Self Regional Healthcare, where they are responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership for all HR functions. Prior to this, Brent held the position of Senior Vice President & Chief Human Resources Officer at Countybank. Earlier in their career, they worked at Eaton, where they gained experience as a Plant Manager, Human Resources Manager, Human Resources Supervisor, and Manufacturing Supervisor. Brent also gained valuable experience as a Human Resources Generalist at United Knitting/Dyersburg Corporation.
Brent Parris, SHRM-SCP, SPHR holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Resources & Industrial Management from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Brent also obtained a Master of Business Administration with a focus on Human Resources from the same university. In 2015, they earned the SHRM- Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification from SHRM. Additionally, they hold a SC Notary Public certification from the State of South Carolina.

Self Regional Healthcare is an independent not-for-profit, regional referral hospital that provides care to 300,000 residents of Greenwood, Abbeville, Laurens, Saluda, McCormick, Edgefield and Newberry counties. Self Medical Group is Self Regional’s employed physician affiliate network of 25 primary and specialty care practices and more than 75 physicians. The 450-bed hospital is located in the city of Greenwood, tucked between the Upstate and Midlands of South Carolina.
