Elbak Elbakyan, PhD

Physics Specialist at Semiconductor Research

Elbak Elbakyan, PhD has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Starting in 2010, Elbak worked for ALGARE LLC as an Electrical Installation specialist until 2012. In the same year, Elbak co-founded Sunny School, contributing to its establishment. Elbak then joined Yerevan Physics Institute as a Physicist from 2012 to 2014.

In 2014, Elbak began teaching as a Lecturer of Physics at the National Polytechnic University of Armenia, which is where Elbak also completed their PhD. From 2016 to 2018, Elbak served as the Deputy Head of the Physics Department at the same university. In 2016, Elbak also worked as a Physics Specialist for the Semiconductor Research Corporation.

In 2017, Elbak took on the role of Deputy Director at Yerevan College at the National Polytechnic University of Armenia before becoming the Director in 2017, a position held until 2020. During this time, starting in 2020, Elbak also served as the Head of the Educational and Methodical Department at the National Polytechnic University of Armenia.

Currently, Elbak holds the position of Vice-Rector and Chief of Staff at the National Polytechnic University of Armenia, a role obtained in 2021.

Elbak Elbakyan, PhD, has a strong educational background in the field of physics and electronics. They obtained a Bachelor's degree in Radiophysics and electronics from Yerevan State University. Later, they pursued a Master's degree in Radiophysics and electronics at the Institute of Radiophysics and Electronics, NAS RA. Elbakyan continued their studies at the Institute of Physical Research, NAS RA, where they earned a Ph.D. in Optical Physics. Prior to their higher education, Elbakyan completed their high school education at the Physics and Mathematics Specialized School.
