Derek Weigel

Derek Weigel is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in systems architecture and engineering. Currently serving as a Senior Architect Team Lead at Semperis since October 2021, Weigel previously held the position of Master Platform Engineer at Capital One and Vice President at Goldman Sachs. Additional roles include Lead Systems Engineer at Columbia University Information Technology and an Active Directory Services Design Engineer at Intel Corporation, where Weigel worked from 1997 until 2016. Early in the career, Weigel served as a Reactor Operator in the US Navy from 1984 to 1997. Weigel holds a degree from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, earned between 1992 and 1996.
