Elon Terrell is a Senior Lecturer of Mechanical Engineering at Baylor University since August 2017, and also serves as a Computational Tribologist at Sentient Science Corporation, focusing on numerical modeling of friction and wear in lubricated components. Previously, Elon held the position of Assistant Professor at Columbia University from July 2008 to June 2014, where oversight of a research laboratory and student research in tribology and thermal-fluids sciences was essential. Additionally, Elon contributed as a Visiting Professor at Argonne National Laboratory, performing experimental research on lubricant additives. Academic qualifications include a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, an M.S. from The University of Texas at Austin, and a B.S. from the same institution.
