SESAR 3 Joint Undertaking
Laura Gomez Gutierrez is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in data protection and procurement. Currently serving as the Legal and Data Protection Officer at SESAR Joint Undertaking since September 2013, Laura previously held roles at the European Institute of Innovation and Technology as Procurement and Deputy Data Protection Officer and at the European Commission in procurement and programming within the Directorate General for Home Affairs and the Directorate General for Justice, Freedom and Security. Earlier career experiences include positions as a Tax Specialist at BNY Mellon and a Project Management Intern at the European Forum for Urban Security, along with work as a Contracts and Commercial Officer at Caja España y Caja Duero. Laura holds an Executive Master in International and European Relations and Management from the University of Amsterdam and an Advanced Degree in Law from Universidad de León, complemented by studies at Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna.

The SESAR 3 Joint Undertaking is an institutionalised European partnership between private and public sector partners set up to accelerate through research and innovation the delivery of the Digital European Sky. To do so, it is harnessing developing and accelerating the take-up of the most cutting-edge technological solutions to manage conventional aircraft, drones, air taxis and vehicles flying at higher altitudes.
