Mojgan M Haghanikar

Science Education Research Affiliate at SETI Institute

Mojgan M Haghanikar is an experienced educator and researcher in the fields of physics and astronomy. Currently serving as a Physics and Astronomy Lecturer at City Colleges of Chicago since April 2022 and a Science Education Research Affiliate at the SETI Institute since November 2020, Mojgan has engaged in grant writing for science and astronomy education. Previously, roles included independent curriculum developer for a Quantum workforce summer workshop at Lawrence Berkeley National Lab and Research Scientist at The College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering SUNYPoly, where Mojgan developed workforce training modules and a training portal. Other academic positions include faculty roles at SUNY Polytechnic Institute, St. Francis College, New York University, Eastern Connecticut State University, and the University of Hartford, specializing in course design and curriculum development. Mojgan holds a Ph.D. and Master’s degree in Physics Education from Kansas State University and a Master of Science in Astronomy Education from the University of Glasgow.
