In 2016, Mr McPherson helped 7NEWS return to market leadership across Australia and in the capital city markets, with 7NEWS remaining #1 nationally for the past six years.
Under Mr McPherson’s leadership, Sunrise has maintained its leadership as the #1 breakfast show for the last 18 years and The Morning Show has been #1 for 14 years.

The Newspapers segment publishes newspapers and insert magazines in West Australia and includes Quokka, Colourpress, Digital Publishing and West Australian publishers. The Pacific segment publishes magazines in print and digital editions, as well as social and e-commerce business. The Other Business and New Ventures segment consists of equity accounted investees, including Yahoo7, Presto, Australian news channel and Community Newspapers; radio (radio stations broadcasting in regional areas of Western Australia), and RED Live.
