Jay Carter

Jay Carter is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in compliance and corporate law. Currently serving as US Legal Counsel and Compliance Chair at SEW-EURODRIVE - USA since September 2024, Jay also holds the position of Broker-In-Charge at Marett Brokerage, LLC since October 2020. Previous roles include Compliance Counsel and Director of Compliance at Global Lending Services LLC, General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at RNN Group, Inc., and Senior Corporate Counsel at Resurgent Capital Services. Jay's legal career began as an Associate at Kenison, Dudley & Crawford, LLC and includes a tenure as a Judicial Law Clerk for The Honorable R. Markley Dennis, Jr. Jay holds an M.B.A. and Juris Doctor from The Moore School of Business and the University of South Carolina School of Law, along with a Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Marketing, and Finance from the University of South Carolina.
