Amrita Namasivayam, PhD, is an accomplished public health professional currently serving as the International Programmes Manager and International Project Lead at Sexual Wellbeing Aotearoa since October 2023. As the Founder of Halcyon Health Consulting since August 2020, Amrita has extensive experience in project management and research, previously holding the role of Project Manager, Service Delivery at Oranga Tamariki—Ministry for Children from October 2022 to October 2023, and working as an External Collaborator at Economist Impact from May 2021 to October 2023. Amrita's research contributions include a focus on rights-based solutions related to climate change and women's access to healthcare and education during tenure as a Research Fellow at Project Drawdown. Academic credentials include a PhD in Public Health from the University of Canterbury and multiple master's degrees in related fields. Prior roles include a Teaching Assistant and various consulting and executive positions in health promotion and substance abuse prevention.

Sexual Wellbeing Aotearoa
Sexual Wellbeing Aotearoa provides sexual and reproductive health clinical services, information, education and training and research. We work with people of any gender, age, nationality or sexual orientation. We have a network of 30 clinics across New Zealand and also offer some clinical services via phone consultations. Our health promoters work with schools, alternative education providers, youth workers, counsellors and young people themselves.
