Jay Larsen has extensive experience in operational management and sales within the food distribution industry. Currently serving as VP Broadline for the Mountain Region at Shamrock Foods Company since March 2011, Jay has directed various operational functions, optimizing efficiency and enhancing team performance through robust training programs. Prior to this role, Jay held significant positions at Sysco from 2003 to 2011, including Senior District Sales Manager, where responsibilities included managing a team of District Sales Managers and overseeing financial performance for a large sales team. Jay also contributed to the establishment of Gordon Foods in Wisconsin as a Business Developer and demonstrated strong leadership at Dr. Pepper, 7up as District Sales Manager/Warehouse Manager. Academic credentials include a degree from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business.

Shamrock Foods

Shamrock Foods distributes fresh and frozen foods, specialty items and gourmet foods to food service customers. It also distributes dairy products to supermarkets and convenience stores in the southwestern states. Shamrock manufactures its own dairy products under the Shamrock Farms label. In 1922, W.T. McClelland started Shamrock Farms with 20 cows and a Model T truck. The company is now the largest family owned dairy in the Southwest, with over 10,000 head of cattle and now has a full line of organic and conventional dairy products, including its "on-the-go" extended shelf life milk.
