Briana Shaffer

Briana joined Shannon & Wilson in the summer of 2021 following five years of combined experience processing digital data with ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, Microsoft Excel, and various other forms of data processing software. She is detail oriented and is comfortable transforming Excel documents and raw data into easy-to-visualize products. Briana regularly harvests and assembles data from open source, onsite, and commercial repositories to support completion of analyses. She has built a solid foundation in database management and data visualization.

Briana currently serves as the Fairbanks Materials Laboratory Manager and regularly assists Geotechnical and Environmental groups with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) data processing. She is responsible for facilitating the direction of the Fairbanks laboratory in maintaining accreditation through AASHTO performance standards. She is actively engaged with supervision of laboratory technicians and organizing the methodological processes of laboratory testing in conformance with ASTM and AASHTO standards.
