Gregory Trought has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Gregory started their career as a Traffic Coordinator at Showcase Action and Showcase Diva in 2004. Later, they worked as an Account Manager at Dell from 2002 to 2004, where they managed client accounts. From 2004 to 2005, Gregory worked as an Account Manager at Dovetail Communications Inc., where they developed advertising revenues for specialty magazines. Gregory then moved to Quebecor as an Account Executive from 2005 to 2007 and sold advertising for the company. After that, at Bell Media, Gregory worked as an Account Executive from 2007 to 2011, responsible for selling advertising on CTV/CTV.ca and CP24/CP24.ca. In 2011, they joined Blue Ant Media as an Account Executive and eventually progressed to the roles of Director, Senior Director, and Vice President of Sales, contributing to the company's growth in video sales through various channels. In 2019, Gregory became a Founding Member of Revenue Collective's Toronto chapter. Finally, in 2022, they joined SideFX Software as the Vice President of Sales, Marketing, and Customer Support.

Gregory Trought's education history includes completing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from McMaster University in the year 2021. Prior to that, they attended the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management in 2017 for the MBA Essentials for Managers program. In 2010, Gregory obtained an EBusiness and Web Marketing Certificate from the University of Toronto, with a focus on Online Marketing. In the same year, they also completed a course titled "Strategies for Web Presence" at the University of Toronto. Gregory's undergraduate studies were conducted at Brock University from 1998 to 2002, where they earned an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Media Communications.
