Douglas Hayes

Douglas Hayes is a Senior Attorney at the Sierra Club, with a career spanning from February 2009 to the present, where responsibilities include litigating environmental and climate change cases, particularly within the Tar Sands and Resilient Habitats Campaigns. Prior to this role, Douglas served as a Law Clerk to Judge Jane Tidball at the State of Colorado District Court from January 2008 to January 2009, and gained experience through internships at various environmental organizations, including the Environmental and Natural Resources Law Clinic and the Institute for Environmental Research and Advocacy. Education includes a Juris Doctor degree from Vermont Law and Graduate School (2004-2007) and a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies from the University of Colorado Boulder (1997-2001), complemented by studies at the University of Otago in 2000.
